FISTS Northwest, K7FFF, the Vista Valley FISTS CW Club, K6FFF, and the Cowlitz FISTS Club, WA7YYY, teamed up for this special event on September 19th, 1998. Although turnout from the FISTS community was less than hoped for due to the late arrival of the FISTS Keynote containing our full announcement, everyone agrees that the event was a success and had a positive impact. Several members have even suggested that we make it a semi-annual event and are ready to go at it again! Band condx were not the best either, but we had good participation from the memberships and great band coverage. If you want to re-visit the WCT rules click here.
Don't forget that if you worked all three clubs during the event you are eligible to receive a
special WCT certificate commemorating the first annual WCT.
To receive the certificate make application to Kerry Freeman, N6WU,
who has received the clubs' logs. This certificate will only be issued to FISTS members. Please enclose
2 oz. worth of postage for your certificate. Donations to offset printing costs are also greatly appreciated. Send
